Wedding
Videography
|
Wedding videography is the most overlooked of all the
wedding services, and most regretted when not done
properly or at all. Wedding videography has existed for
only 25 years. When you compare that to wedding dresses
and flowers, which have been used for thousands of
years, and still photography which has been around for
150 years, you can understand why videography is not
always considered a requirement.
Most couples who do not hire a professional
videographer to capture their wedding usually regret it
in years to come. To fully capture your wedding
experience, both photography and videography is
required. Video captures the motions and sounds of your
wedding; this is not possible with just photography. As
beautiful as the still shots of your wedding vows can
be, it can not compare to actually hearing every nuance
of your vows on video. With a professional
videographer, you will hear every note of your musicians
and every word spoken.

HIRE A PROFESSIONAL |
In no situation should a
friend or relative shoot your wedding video or pictures. Imagine if an important
scene were missed, or no video was recorded at all, due
to an error. How do you think your friend or relative
would feel? Lifelong friendships fall apart over
situations like this. A woman, who was married twelve
years ago, called to ask if there was a way to clean up
her old wedding video shot by a nonprofessional
videographer. She wanted to show the video to her ten
and six year-old daughters, but was not happy with the
poor quality of the video. Since her wedding video was
not shot using professional equipment, there was a limit
to how much the quality of the video could be improved.

THE CAMERA MATTERS
Your wedding video should be captured with the highest
quality equipment available. The camera pictured below
is one of the latest generation video cameras, costing
in excess of $15,000. Professional video cameras like
these produce sharper images and are more sensitive to
light. This is a requirement since most churches do not
allow video lighting. Always inquire about what type of
cameras your videographer will be using, and if they are
able to produce a bright, clean video image without
using bright lights during your ceremony. A flash from
your photographer's camera lasts a fraction of a second;
a bright light on a camera can ruin your ceremony.
The picture quality from a $1,200 home camcorder cannot
compare to the image produced by a $15,000 professional
video camera. Professionals also carry backup cameras,
wireless microphones and other equipment. You can
expect a professional videographer to bring over $25,000
worth of equipment to shoot your wedding.
When hiring a videographer, make sure they will work
well with your photographer. In some cases, a
photographer & videographer who have never worked
together before, may interfere with each other.
This will sometimes cause severe tension between your
photographer & videographer during your wedding. |
CAPTURED FOREVER
In fifteen years, make sure you have a wedding video
that you and & your children will enjoy watching. Nothing
can compare to seeing your closest friends & family
eternally preserved with motion & sound. Only a
professional wedding videographer will capture &
preserve your special moments forever.
